SUANFARMA´S Industrial Division continues to advance in its Business Plan. Since the incorporation of Cipan to the group, its manufacturing capacities have been expanding considerably.
The new area, integrated in our industrial park in Lisbon, will allow the expansion of the purification processes of the biofermentative processes thanks to the incorporation of 3 new independent DSP lines.
It will be characterized by an enormous versatility and flexibility that will give to the processing and purification processes the latest available technologies, including, among others, 3-phase separators, UF/MF units, chromatographic devices, L-L extractors and Wiped Film Evaporators. Moreover, it will allow us to guarantee low bioburden products since its design includes the isolation of the final product in clean rooms.
In this way Cipan will be prepared to deal with the complexity of the molecules of the future. These DSP lines are mainly characterized by their balance between automation and flexibility, allowing to perform several purification techniques depending on the nature of the project.
The plant capacity will be increased to more than 450m3 and will be equipped with a long list of purification technologies such as:
- Clarifiers
- Microfiltration and ultrafiltration (up to 200 m2)
- Nanofiltration (up to 60m2)
- 3-stage centrifuge and horizontal axis centrifuges
- Chromatography patterns
- Thin film evaporators
- Crystallization
- Nutsche filter
- Dryers (conical, fluidized bed).
This plan is the demonstration of SUANFARMA´S commitment to its customers, and the understanding of their development plans down to their commercial needs.
