Anastrozole is a hormone therapy drug used to treat breast cancer in women who have gone through menopause.
Anastrozole is used after surgery and other treatments to reduce the risk of breast cancer returning. It is usually taken for a few years. It is also used to control breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (secondary breast cancer).
